Purpose of the Job

• To develop product quality and supplier quality from the beginning of the development cycle to the end, based on the required standards.

• Ensure the supplier quality improvements/development and sustainability.

• Manage Supplier Quality and Supplier Development with purchasing and PD

• Working with other service operations members in the region to provide technical support for the service network.

• Contributing to overall customer satisfaction by providing timely assistance on technical issues to the service outlets in the region and Toyota & Lexus products quality by recognizing and reporting emerging technical and product quality concerns to TSO also is working with all government report such as MCI & Courts.

• Lead all the MCI official technical reports.

Key Accountabilities: Description

• Reviewing the preparation of Product Development Plan and follow-up on QA relevant activities with supplier as per development plan.

• Monitor all Master sample for new and modified parts are submitted in-time and confirmed.

• Confirmation of Carryover items related to QA requirements such as Colour slabs, master samples, etc

• On-site supplier audits to confirm the production processes and quality system implementation for existing supplier

• 8D issues follow up and coordinate with Suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective action

• Field Technical Report. Service Kaizen Report. Recovery part to TMC. TAKATA Monthly Report. MCI Report.

Key Accountabilities: Performance Indicators

Major Activities

1. Participating the accessories line-up by each supplier

2. Reviewing the preparation of Product Development Plan and follow-up on QA relevant activities with supplier as per development plan

3. PPAP documents review and completion on time follow-up with team and supplier

4. PPAP status report updates to PCM (Product Committee meeting).

5. Monitor all Master sample for new and modified parts are submitted in-time and confirmed

6. Confirmation of Carryover items related to QA requirements such as Colour slabs, master samples, etc.

7. Coordinate ECR process (internal/external) from beginning until implementation of the change

8. Co-ordinate’s suppliers in handling the stock treatment at both the parties for improved products through ECR

9. Assist in securing third-party product evaluations

10. On-site supplier audits to confirm the production processes and quality system implementation for existing supplier

11. New Supplier Audit for the potential supplier and verify the quality system documentation

12. 8D issues follow up and coordinate with Suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective action

13. Supplier KPI’s related to quality index

14. Monthly evaluation of supplier performance in terms of Quality and send the Scorecard to supplier

15. Responsible to do IQC HO and supplier HO for approved Master Sample

16. Support PIOC, IQC and AS warranty for any quality issue related to product is addressed to communicate with supplier for immediate and long-term countermeasures

17. Continues monitoring on “Focus Suppliers” and assisting supplier for the improvement in quality

18. Coordinate department monthly Hoshin Kanari meeting

19. Confirm final inspection report of 1st batch production and issue ship out approval

20. Secure and maintain part numbers for complete assembly and after-sales parts

21. Coordinate in securing third-party product evaluations

22. Support the team in evaluating “Packaging Instruction Approval Form” based on Packaging STD for each product of suppliers 23 Ensure timely submission of quality scorecards to suppliers

24. Support the team in confirming and updating the “Incoming Quality Inspection criteria” form supplier, finalize and share internally to concerns department for their use

25. Ensure timely submission of approved Master sample to IQC and supplier

26. Closely working with low performing supplier on “Focus Suppliers Program” and assisting supplier for the improvement in quality

27. Supplier Training based on the Automotive tools, PPAP, 8D, MSA, SPC, Packaging STD, ECR process, etc

28. Review with supplier on SQRM newly added points and follow up in submitting the relevant documents

29. Conduct training with internal team on ATSG Guidelines and monitor the organization and PIC’s to maintain the same

30. Monitor for internal DB requirements and submit with Actions and coordinate with TMC PIC

31. Work with the supplier organizations

32. Work with internal teams with TADME and JACS PIO

33. Work with outside consultants

34. Advise ideas & techniques to improve product quality

35. Advise changes required to maintain quality standards

36. Recommend improvements to business processes related to quality 1. Support warranty group in providing necessary information through justifying the warranty repair claims requested by TMC to avoid warranty repair claim rejection.

37. Ordering of required diagnostic tools and equipment from TMC to update the Intelligent Tester Diagnostic Tools and intelligent Viewers of Service Centers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive industry (SQD)

• 6-Sigma projects experience

• Previous KAIZEN projects (QCC/TBP)

• 8 Disciplines

• EDER process

• PPAP

• Minimum 8 years of supplier quality development experience
