Purpose of the Job

Supervise and drive HR strategic planning initiatives by aligning organizational objectives with long-term business priorities. Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects, ensuring effective coordination across functions, timely delivery, and achievement of desired outcomes. Support organizational performance and capability by providing strategic insights, monitoring progress, and enabling continuous improvement across HR initiatives.

Key Accountabilities: Description

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively planned, prioritized, and executed within agreed timelines.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets while ensuring alignment and commitment from all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of strategic initiatives to ensure timely delivery, proactively manage risks, and support achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are delivered according to approved timelines by maintaining effective project governance, accountability, and execution discipline

  • Strategic project plans submitted on time.
  • Successful execution of strategic projects.
  • On-time completion of strategic project milestones %.
  • Percentage of projects delivered on schedule.

Major Activities

  1. Develop comprehensive project plans by defining scope, priorities, timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes.
  2. Establish clear deliverables and acceptance criteria to ensure alignment among stakeholders.
  3. Communicate project expectations, responsibilities, and timelines to support timely execution.
  4. Lead and coordinate strategic projects to ensure delivery within approved scope, schedule, and budget. 
  5. Collaborate with Finance to monitor project budgets, expenditures, and approval requirements. 
  6. Ensure stakeholder alignment and timely resolution of scope or resource changes.
  7. Track project progress against established milestones and timelines.
  8. Identify potential risks, issues, and delays, recommending corrective actions where required. 
  9. Recommend opportunities to improve project execution efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy. 
  10. Escalate critical issues and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  11. Ensure project roles, responsibilities, and task ownership are clearly defined.
  12. Develop and monitor detailed work plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities. 
  13. Coordinate with stakeholders to proactively address delays and maintain project schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors in human resources, business administration, or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

4-5 years of experience in HR strategic planning, project management, organizational development, or related functions.
