Purpose of the Job

As a centralized market research function within ALJ, the main responsibility is to provide the necessary support across all ALJ Motors and ALJ Mobility by understanding their business needs and conducting market research activities which include quantitative and qualitative studies in cooperation with external market research agencies

Key Accountabilities: Description

Design research briefs which include research approach, research methodology, sample composition based on business objective and research requirements.

Establish specific objectives and parameters of the research focus groups in discussions with the BUs and external research agencies.

Monitor and report market research & intelligence budget on a monthly and annual basis to GM – Market Research.

Develop and maintain a detailed research project schedule that includes all tasks and milestones with assigned resources.

Major Activities

Conduct regular meetings with different BUs in ALJ Motors and ALJ Mobility to understand their market research needs.

Uses external industry data to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities for new and existing markets.

Advise the management on the latest market trends and consumer trends on a regular basis.

Collect and analyze data on auto market consumers, competitors, and the market.

Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decision-making

Liaise with external market research agencies to ensure quality and cost-effective bidding based on each market research project. 

Use desk, secondary, and online market research, and catalog findings to databases for building a strong understanding of any market and target audience before potentially conducting more expensive primary research.

Analyze qualitative data, identify trends, assess strategies, and evaluate competition, with the goal of enhancing competitiveness

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration

Minimum Experience

5 years in Market Research and Business Analysis
