Purpose of the Job

• Execute Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) activities in conjunction with relevant business units to achieve short-, medium- and long-term operational risk reduction and health and safety objectives. To assist and direct operations to ensure overall physical risk exposure is mitigated. To promote environmental and OHS (occupational Health and Safety) best practices within the organization

Key Accountabilities: Description

• Conduct physical HSE risk assessments of the ALJ Motors’ facilities in order to determine risk exposure and formulate and agreed action plans.

• Assist operational management to resolve identified risks to achieve agreed annual resolution rate targets.

• Deliver training and awareness of HSE best practices, policy, and awareness for ALJM

• Ensure all facilities conduct fire drills in line with civil defense regulations and best practices.

Major Activities

1. Responsible to execute HSE policies and procedures across the organisation and monitor the performance.

2. Responsible to execute risk reduction strategies across the organisation whilst improving risk reduction performance through HSE assessment and action plans.

3. Responsible to ensure Legal compliance to Local Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation.

4. Assisting Operations to implement environmental management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other international HSE standards and best practices throughout ALJM facilities.

5. Responsible for delivering training and awareness of HSE best practices, policy to ALJM associates at facilities.

6. Conduct physical inspections and risk assessments of the ALJ Motors’ facilities in order to determine risk exposure and formulate and agree subsequent action plans to mitigate highlighted levels of risk.

7. Communicates with ALJ Motors’ Operations HSE risk assessment action plans and ensure its implementation.

8. Participate in kaizen projects to enhance overall performance within the HSE department.

9. Contribute towards the monthly awareness and Newsletters are circulated to stakeholders on HSE Performance and awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial/Chemical Engineering or similar discipline

Minimum Experience

3 to 5 Years’ experience in HSE field is preferred
