Purpose of the Job

Ensure accuracy, adequacy of supporting documents in the processing of financial transactions and in coordination with different finance departments to reconcile financial data as per accepted accounting principles and standards.

Major Activities

1. Assist in the preparation of management accounts, fund flow statement and annual budget and manage suspense account to inform the Accounts Managers of any operational anomalies.

2. Assist in the roll-over of deposits, preparation of collateral reports and entry sheet of various banks to reconcile bank statements and provide financial reports to the department and corporate management.

3. Responsible in the coordination with External and Internal Auditors by providing all the needed financial records, data and information to perform audits and ensure accuracy.

4. Coordinate monthly financial closing of accounts and analyze income-related accounts for fairness to come up with financial reports to department and corporate managements.

5. Supervises Accountant and Cashier in performing monthly cash reconciliations and balance sheet accounts control to ensure reliability and accuracy.

6. Conduct Performance discussion with the subordinates, whenever applicable, through open discussion to establish Associate’s development and Performance Awareness.

7. Review the preparation of final accounts and journal vouchers and scrutiny of ledger accounts of correctness and accuracy to provide management with reliable reports as per the accepted accounting rules and regulations.

8. Compile and collect financial data for corporate tax reporting to comply with the government requirements in adherence with the generally accepted accounting and auditing principles and other international accounting regulations.

9. Mentor and develop associates and ensure they are provided opportunities for development and that career paths and succession plans are charted out through a Succession/ Progression Development Interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Minimum Experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field
