Purpose of the Job

The Master Facilitator, Body Repair & Paint, is a subject-matter expert responsible for leading the design, delivery, and continuous enhancement of Body & Paint training and certification programs, ensuring alignment with OEM standards and translating business needs into high-impact capability development that improves operational performance and service quality.

Key Accountabilities: Description

  • Deliver high-impact technical training programs aligned with OEM standards, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and learner engagement.
  • Design, update, and enhance Body & Paint training curricula and materials using modern instructional techniques and digital tools.
  • Manage the end-to-end certification lifecycle, including theoretical and practical assessments, ensuring integrity and alignment with OEM requirements.
  • Conduct regular Gemba visits to workshops to assess training effectiveness, identify performance gaps, and recommend targeted interventions.
  • Integrate advanced training methods, including simulators, visual aids, and digital learning solutions, to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Ensure training programs contribute directly to operational excellence and workforce capability development.

Major Activities

  1. Design, update, enhance and maintain Body repair and paint training curricula in alignment with business and OEM standards.
  2. Customize training content and learning pathways based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and operational performance gaps.
  3. Plan and deliver high-impact classroom, workshop, and blended training programs, including TMC-certified courses.
  4. Facilitate engaging learning experiences using adult learning methodologies, simulations, and practical case applications.
  5. Manage the end-to-end certification process for Body and Paint, including assessments and results reporting.
  6. Conduct regular Gemba visits to service and retail locations to evaluate training effectiveness and identify capability gaps.
  7. Translate Gemba insights, learner feedback, and performance data into continuous improvements in training content and delivery.
  8. Contribute to short- and medium-term training roadmaps to support a sustainable pipeline of qualified talent.
  9. Coach and mentor facilitators to elevate instructional quality and technical capability within the school.

Job Context

The Master Facilitator – Body Repair & Paint is a subject-matter expert responsible for designing, delivering, and governing high-quality training and certification programs. The role translates business needs, OEM standards, and TNA outcomes into practical learning interventions that enhance customer experience and operational performance. Working closely with Toyota Motor Corporation, digital learning teams, and business stakeholders, the role ensures training quality, certification compliance, and continuous improvement through on-the-job (Gemba) engagement.

Framework, Boundaries & Decision Making Authority

The role operates within HITCL academic governance, OEM (Toyota) certification standards, and approved learning frameworks. It has authority to design and deliver training, administer assessments, and recommend improvements, while adhering to defined policies, budgets, and digital platform governance. The Master Facilitator provides expert recommendations on technical training standards and certification frameworks. Final approval of academic standards, certifications, budgets, andsystem changes remains with the relevant governance and leadership functions.

Minimum Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields
•Technical certifications in Body & Paint (OEM or equivalent preferred)

Minimum Experience

•8–12 years of experience in automotive Body & Paint operations or technical training
•Proven experience in training delivery, certification, and workshop operations
