Purpose of the Job

Direct and monitor a variety of accounting activities to ensure that the organization’s financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.

Key Accountabilities: Description

Prepare and present accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the company’s financial health

Oversee and manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, and coordinate audits as necessary

Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations

Major Activities

1    Review Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and other financial statements like depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists and repayment schedules on a regular basis for submission to the management.
2    Verify flash report covering all related activities on a monthly basis and send to management to assist management in the financial policy decisions.
3    Preparing Financial Feasibility Reports for identified projects by having repeated discussion with the project owners to cover all the areas of size of capital investment and its proper utilization to make use of capacity available and to full fill the demand.  Technical obsolescence and future trends of the business model too will be considered.
4    Report to management of any deviations from procedures such as sales and revenue analyses and expense trends on a regular basis by monitoring the daily cash and bank movements to be able to prepare sales financial report.
5    Responsible for reviewing and preparing all financial reports and accounting statements to ensure that a control mechanism is installed and implemented in the department under supervision.
6    Responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted as per company policies and procedures by directing the activity of the accounting staff in the sub-region and ensure tasks are completed as per schedule.
7    Review customer credit reports to track payments that are overdue and need to be followed up for collection as per approved policy.
8    Review the trial balance, general ledger and stock taking reports for the centers on a regular basis to prepare monthly financial reports.
9    Setting up and supervision of Accounts Payable modules in ERP, Review of supplier payments, Checking Electronic Payments.  Monitoring and reviewing Letter of Credit (LC) process.  Follow up of collection of SDR and Warranty Claims.
10    Convince operation team on procurement/investment approaches to abide by company policy and/or logical thinking behind any actions/decisions.  Discuss and amicably solve any misunderstanding policy matters between finance and other departments which have different point of views.
11    Supplier balance confirmation and reconciliation across several continents and boarders ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted as per company policies and procedures by way of comprehensive check list across all activities.
12    Providing/satisfying all internal as well as external auditors queries and consultant requirements.
13    Review Supplier contracts to ensure conformity with all accepted norms & conditions of the organization and its strategies.
14    Manage, mentor, and develop associates and ensure they are provided opportunities for development and that career paths and succession plans are charted out through a Succession/ Progression Development Interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Minimum Experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in related field
