Purpose of the Job

Provide a leading role in ensuring that regulatory compliance exposure is as per the risk appetite statement

Key Accountabilities: Description

  • Ensure all regulatory developments are communicated to stakeholders.
  • Perform obligation analysis and quantify the regulatory risk in line with another stakeholder like EAD, Legal etc.. Monitor, track, and report status of compliance for applicable regulations into applicable reporting forums i.e., Assurance & CEC meetings.
  • Perform regulatory compliance follow-up. Regulatory framework creation, design, improvement that will help company to achieve it’s goal and protect from violations/penalties.

Major Activities

1. Supporting the Senior Management in implementing ISO 19600 Compliance Management System.

2. Development of applicable interfaces and regulatory frameworks for managing the compliance risk in a integrated manner.

3. Monitoring of external environment for regulatory developments and changes

4. Communication of regulatory changes to different stakeholders using a wide variety of channels.

5. To undertake compliance risk assessment procedure which includes risk identification, assessment, quantification and advise management on implementation controls (RCAP) required for ensuring compliance and managing risk of non-compliance.

6. Develop, maintain, update, and sustain the Compliance Universe and obligations libraries i.e. Imtithal obligation list.

7. Monitor and oversee the development of Compliance programs for each principal regulation.

8. Follow up with stakeholders on open issues related to any laws and regulations and provide support if needed.

9. Participate in appropriate forums and communication for discussing and escalating Compliance issues.

10. Manage and oversee the regulatory compliance training program for front line associates.

11. Prepare and develop technical articles for inclusion in communication campaigns.

12. Monitor the visits of Government Officials and track the notes of such visits and coordinate with stakeholders

13. Monitor the status of compliance with key regulations

14. Manage and supervise the work of other Regulatory compliance officers.

15. Support in development of software for managing compliance risk.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Law. Master preferred.

Minimum Experience

6 – 8 years of experience in managing regulatory compliance & at least two years of experience of leading and managing staff.
